A strong cold front will move in from Oregon this evening with increased snow and wind. Several sites in eastern Oregon have reported wind gusts near 40 mph with frontal passage. The front will reach Ontario around 6 PM MST and Boise around 7 PM. Expect west wind gusts 30 to 40 mph along with about an hour of moderate to heavy snow. The winds and snow will cause blowing and drifting and reduced visibility. Snow and winds will decrease from the west later this evening.
