How to Lift a Jeep in Under 3 Minutes
Almost 10 years ago Ray and I lifted my Jeep. I shot a time-lapse video of the process and it has sat quietly ever since on VHS-C Tape. Using my new Sony Multi-Function DVD Recorder I present it to you now.

I'm Done Fighting It!

Last winter, my first here in Idaho, was a fairly mild one as it turns out. I decided today that I have had enough with "white knuckling it" every time it snows. The snow shows no sign of slowing down and the old Jeep configuration handled like a greased iron on an acre of bacon with the big lug all terrain tires it used to sport. That ended today at Les Schwab with the purchase of studded snow tires. The other tires and rims will sit in the garage until this spring and I'll just swap back and forth as needed. Does it handle better now? How I got around without wrecking before I'll never know!Wednesday, November 21, 2007

Country Living Adventure #256
"Honey, the Jeep alarm is going off." So started yet another Country Living Adventure. As I made my way across the house to disable the jeep alarm, I noticed that none of the light switches were producing any light. After shutting off the alarm I ventured out with a flashlight and immediately saw the powerline draped over the rig.I called the proper authorities and made my way down the drive to the expected and almost routine now... Downed tree. Only 5 days earlier Deb and I had walked to this very tree and speculated that it would be the next to fall. The tree took out all of the electrical lines during it's decent and knocked out power to 4 houses.
