This pipe pumps one million gallons of water A DAY out of the mine to keep the water level stable. Turn the pumps off?  The underwater lake will rise by an inch a day!

This shot was taken on the floor of level 2.  Most of the air bubbles you see are from our visit UNDER this floor while we toured directly below, on level 3!  Our bubbles percolate through the rocky floor.
