Video From Building Collapse

Oh Yeah I Amost Forgot!

I always try to eat some new and strange food when I am over here.  This time it was a duck's tongue! I'm holding on to the poor little feller's beak.  It wasn't too bad.

THE YEAR OF THE TIGER

02/14/2010 - 02/02/2011 (Metal)

According to the Chinese Zodiac, the Year of 2010 is the Year of a Golden Tiger, which begins on February 14, 2010 and ends on February 2, 2011. The first day of the lunar New Year 2010 falls on the 14th day of February, which is Saint Valentine's Day, so it is a day the West celebrates as a lovers' day, a day of romance. To the Chinese, it is the start of the Golden Tiger Year. The Tiger is the third sign in the cycle of Chinese Zodiac, which consists of 12 animal signs. It is a sign of courage. This fearless and fiery fighter is revered by the ancient Chinese as the sign that wards off the three main disasters of a household: fire, thieves and ghosts. On New Year's day itself, it is beneficial to celebrate, to be happy, to have smiling faces, and to refrain from scowling, quarreling, or criticizing anyone.

Tiger Years: 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998, 2010. Are you a tiger?

The Sign of the Tiger

Courageous, active, and self-assured. Optimistic, passionate and independent. Rebellious, dynamic, and unpredictable. Quick tempered but considerate. Affectionate but careless. The Tiger is a natural born leader and symbolizes power, passion and daring.

People born in the Year of the Tiger are generally well liked because of their charming personalities. Often, failing at a given task or being unproductive in his personal or professional life can cause a Tiger to experience a deep depression. Criticism from loved ones can also generate this type of Tiger reaction.

Tigers are fond of competitions. They simply cannot pass up a challenge. They may appear cool and are unpredictable, and it would be unwise to underestimate their reactions. Natural leaders, they have a strong sense of their own dignity. They are intelligent, alert, and farsighted. Good strategists and tacticians, they often have a hidden agenda. As long as they do not risk their luck too often, and keep their restless nature under control, they will enjoy success and happiness.

A Visit To The Shaolin Temple - Part Two

This Happened About 4 Blocks From Where We Were Having Today's Appointments!

Walkup building in Hung Hom collapses
(1 hr 41 mins ago)
A six-storey walkup in 45, Ma Tau Wai Road in Hung Hom crumbled at about 1.30pm. It is not clear if the entire building or only part of it collapsed.

One woman died, two were injured and four are missing.

A nearby shop owner said she heard a loud sound and when she went out to look, she saw the building had disappeared in a cloud of dust. She said the ground floor of the building had been undergoing renovations.

Buildings close to the walkup are being evacuated.

At least one killed in Hong Kong building collapse: police

HONG KONG — One person was killed Friday when a rundown building collapsed in Hong Kong, while at least four others were missing and believed to be trapped in the rubble, government and emergency officials said.

The residential block, which was more than 50 years old, collapsed in Hung Hom, in Hong Kong's Kowloon district, police said.

Chief Executive Donald Tsang, who visited the site of the collapse, told reporters at least one person was confirmed dead.

A spokesman for the fire services said at the scene there were at least four people believed trapped.
"I saw bits and pieces of earth and tiles sliding down the wall at the beginning... a woman was trying to climb out through the window. About 15 seconds later, the building fell like dominoes," a passer-by told Cable TV.

Cable TV also broadcast footage of a large team of firemen rescuing trapped people from the rubble.

The broadcaster said renovation work was being carried out on the ground floor of the building, but that the cause of the collapse remained unclear.
