Lone Rock Campground, Utah

Another desolate place with beautiful views!
You just pull up anywhere you want on the lake shore.
There had to be over 70 campers of various sizes set up along the beach.
We had to be careful to not get into loose sand or we might get stuck!
The calm before the storm.
We are all smiles not knowing what was coming for us!
We had a very minimal setup as the increasing wind made it impossible to put up anything but the bare minimum.  We had a dinner of cheese and crackers in the SUV because the blowing sand was too much to handle.
The tipping point.  We wake up at 2:00AM in the morning to find the rig is FULL of sand!  The photo above is the BED!  Sand is everywhere inside the trailer.  It is HOWLING outside with the trailer rocking back and forth.  I check my phone as this seems extreme.
Well that does it!  The forecast was for the wind to get worse!  We decide that this is too much and head out into the dark dust storm to pack up!  It is miserable.  The worst part for me was the sand in my mouth and gritty teeth!
We drive into Page, Arizona where we pass dozens of big rigs parked along the highway riding out the storm. After stopping at several fully booked hotels we finally check into a Hyatt.  It is 3:00AM when we park in the wind shadow of the hotel and drag our sorry asses into the lobby.  Never has a fresh bed felt so good!
We stay in the hotel another night and on day two we try to reclaim the trailer.
