Exploring SIlver City

A few weeks ago Deb and I headed south to Silver City, Idaho. Silver City was founded in 1864 and is really like stepping into a time machine.

It is a long and twisty road up to the 6200 foot elevation where the ghost town is located.

The vistas on the way up are fantastic.

Welcome to Silver City. The white building in the center was the Idaho Standard School for Silver City.

The Idaho Hotel built in 1866.

Oven, stove and heater.

Still open and serving lunch today!

Pioneer Cemetery.

Time for lunch in the Idaho Hotel.

Some interesting facts.
