Can We Start Over?

We arrive at the Puerto Vallarta Airport and begin international Processing to head back to the USA. We hear that there is an ice storm coming to the Portland area. We all try to remember what ice is.
Goodbye Grand Mayan

The lobby to the Grand Mayan is a huge 6+ story atrium with these monstrous statues standing inside! Believe me, these things are tall! At the back end is a large reflection pool and and amber window that allows the light in.
Send Off Committee

This Iguana was spotted down on the golf course by Juli from the balcony of our room on the sixth floor! We all headed down with cameras in hand and got some pretty good shots before he/she swam away.
Last Day In Mexico...

This has been the view everyday as we wait for the elevator to head down and begin our day. We start the morning with one last rotation around the lazy river and a dip in the pool.

The Last Night Dinner!

Roughing it in Mexico! This is the spread for our last night in Mexico. Note the hand painted accent pieces made by the four of us.
Deb And A Friend

Deb makes friends where ever she goes.
Are We Tan Yet?

This shot was taken after each one of us just got finished getting a deep tissue massage! Very Good!
Wave Action

Nice breaking wave on the beach we are relaxing on.
Heading To More Fun!

Today we are heading out to Las Caletas. This is a private beach where we are going to go snorkling and hang out for the day.

Go Get This Too

Picasa 2: "A free software download from Google.
Picasa is software that helps you instantly find, edit and share all the pictures on your PC. Every time you open Picasa, it automatically locates all your pictures (even ones you forgot you had) and sorts them into visual albums organized by date with folder names you will recognize. You can drag and drop to arrange your albums and make labels to create new groups. Picasa makes sure your pictures are always organized."

Go Get This...

I just got done testing the new Microsoft Beta AntiSpyware application, and it ROCKS! It found 3 threats that had been running on my system because they were designed to hide from Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy! This program stays resident in Memory and stops most spyware before it enters the system. There are some bugs to be worked out, but I HIGHLY advise everyone get this! Oh yea, It's free.

Soaking Up The Atmosphere

A shot of the Grand Mayan grounds.
Doing Some Crafts

Deb painted both of these while sitting by the pool. Please be aware that after Deb did the best she could (She really did try hard too!) her work was 'touched up' by the local artists running the craft table. Quite fun.
Walking Around The Resort

We just hung out at the resort today.
Relaxing By The Ocean

We are just having a lazy day at the resort. Ahhhhh, I think I'll go swimming.

I Was Warned, But Didn't Listen!

For God's Sake... DON'T DO IT!

This Movie is the WORST thing I have EVER seen! I want the hour and a half of my life back! You have been warned.
Bonus Day Five Photo!

Ray Feels Perky Tonight!

This type of photo has cost men the Presidency!

Note shot glass hanging off of string around neck.
Balloon Man Shows Up!

All I can say is... TEQUILA!!!! Note newly purchased 'Man Beads' hanging around neck!

Another perfect day in Mexico.
Lazy Day Today

We took it easy today and just hung out around the Resort. We are heading to a Fiesta on the beach tonight.

Bonus Day Four Photo!

Another relaxing day in Mexico!
Sunday Sunset

Shot this on the way to El Toritos! This place was nothing like the one back at home. We started with Mango Margaritas and then moved on to a Large Bucket of fresh Caught Boiled Shrimp with a chili sauce to dip them in. This was supposed to just be an appetizer! We almost could not finished our dinners when they arrived.
What The?

It's not real... I asked! A small downtown park is slated to be destroyed so a parking garage can go in its place. The locals who set up their stands to sell things are very upset about this as you can see!
Fancy Chruch

This is the main Church downtown. At night the Cross ontop can be seen from Our room!
Exploring The City

After taking the local bus and even making a transfer we arrived in downtown Puerto Vallarta. Did more site seeing and bartering for souvenirs.
Mayan Members On The Move!

We headed back to Puerto Vallarta to do some site seeing and shopping. We are still getting used to the ID bands we have to wear to use the facilities at the Mayan Palace.
Morning Swin In The Lazy River

Took it easy again this morning and hit the pool. Around the pool is a huge 'Lazy River'. This loops around the main pool area and has its own current, so you just float and relax. Every 10 minutes a wave machine starts up and makes things interesting!

Umm....

Sites Of The Month...

Eye Of Science! Amazing photos of very small things.

Bunny suicides! There are many ways to die... these are very tame cartoons in black and white for the squeemish, but very funny.

Stop The Madness!

Onkyo's" NR1000 "future proof" home theater receiver - Engadget - www.engadget.com: "Not that we have $4,000 to spend on a home-theater receiver (why do you think we're studying up on how to turn a Mac mini into a media center?), but if we did, Onkyo's 7.1 channel TX-NR1000 would be a tempting option. The company calls it "future-proof," a marketing term that basically means "we've thrown in every feature, connector, and port we can think of, including some nobody is ever going to use." The really useful thing about this unit, though, is its modular nature. If it turns out that they really didn't think of everything, you can pop a new module into the back of the box and be on your way."

Bonus Day Three Photo!

On our way to 'Rhythms Of The Night" for a dinner and a show.
Relaxing Dinner By The Sea.

In full vacation mode now! Watches have been banned, cell phone left at home, Hell, I didn't even shave!
Romantic Dinner On The Beach.

We all had dinner on a private beach lit only by torch light. Perfect temperature, great food, and very relaxing. Afterward we watched a show with lots of fire and music.
Pirate Ship?

We passed this ship on the way to the dinner and show. This is the same ship that launched the fireworks we saw on our first day.
Sunset From The Boat!

No shortage of killer sunsets in Mexico! We rode on what I call 'The Party Boat' to our dinner and show. Lots of Latin beat music and open bar with a great crew who entertained us the whole way!
Local Fishermen

While we head off for fun these guys are working. Note: cigarette in the net tossers mouth!
Rhythms Of The Night!

We had our first tour today! "Rhythms Of The Night" We head out on a 1 1/2 hour boat ride to a private beach, have a romantic dinner, watch a live show, relax on the moon lit beach, and then boat back home. Should be good!
Walk On The Beach

We took it easy this morning. We slept in, went swimming and explored the Grand Mayan Resort. We walked out onto the beach and waded it the surf.
